Clery Act
In this section
The Clery Act, officially the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, is a federal law that requires all colleges and universities that receive federal funding to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses. Through the Annual Security Report, it’s a way for universities to ensure transparency and awareness regarding campus safety and security.

Activity Summaries
Oklahoma State consistently reports one of the lowest crime rates in the Big 12. These statistics reflect incidents within campus boundaries and do not include off-campus housing or organizations, which fall under Stillwater Police jurisdiction. Off-campus data is available through SPD.
Annual Security Reports
These reports are provided as required by the Clery Act. In addition to the Annual Safety Report, the OSU Police Department also keeps crime statistics for incidents that occur within the OSU Police Department’s jurisdiction.
Guide for Campus Security Authorities
All OSU community members are encouraged to report crimes, but Campus Security Authorities (CSAs) are required to report certain incidents on and near campus. CSAs must complete annual training.
